XRF Spectrometers

X-ray fluorescence technology (XRF) provides one of the simplest, most economic and accurate analytical methods for the determination of the chemical composition of many types of materials. It is non-destructive and reliable, requires no, or very little, sample preparation and is suitable for the analysis of solid, liquid and powdered samples. Depending on the analyzer the covered element range starts with carbon (6) for a qualitative analysis and starts with fluorine (9) for a quantitative analysis. Americium (95) is the element with the highest atomic number covered. XRF provides detection limits at the sub-ppm level for many elements; it can also measure concentrations of up to 100% easily and simultaneously.
